Menopause

Great I Am In Post-Menopause

All right you are now well on your way to being in post menopause. You have survived puberty, pregnancy, and now you have survived menopause, but what is waiting for you on the other side? Why do you have to go through menopause at all? Let us first define post menopause.

Post menopause is categorized by no menstrual cycle for a year. You can still have some resounding symptoms of menopause such as cravings, hot flashes, mood swings, and loss of brain function normally brought on by extreme fatigue.

Therefore, while you may not be having cramps, menstrual cycles and severe PMS you are still liable to have some symptoms. Most often these symptoms will become less and less over the years as you move on in life, but of course by then you have other diseases you need to be cautious about.

Exercise is yet again a great way to combat these left over feelings from menopause that travel with you into the first stages of post menopause. It tones your body so when you look in the mirror: you think there is still a figure in there. It will also help reduce any weight gain you may have had during menopause as well as help with the excessive fatigue. Most women have found when they do not exercise at this age they tend to fall asleep easily wherever they are sitting.

Due to lack of hormones that create that sexual drive, you also have other problems. Exercise can keep the muscles toned and since your appearance is more youthful, your self-image promotes a return of interest in romance.

Post menopause can also affect your hair. It is very important at this time in your life to begin a hair care regime. This regime should include vitamin B, deep conditioning protein and moisturizing treatments, and every six weeks you should have a trim. If you already have a hair care regime, but you are still experiencing a significant amount of hair loss you should seek the advice of a professional.

Professionals are unsure how long post menopause may last. It can vary depending on the woman and her genetics. Some professionals feel that post menopause lasts until death. There is no timeline as there is with puberty, childbearing years, and peri menopause.

There are many methods in treating menopause and if you continue these practices during post menopause, you are sure to feel better and have less post menopause symptoms. Keep in contact with your physician so that you can understand this new stage in your life.
